2012 Quad City Chaos starts March 31

The #Toronto Roller Derby (ToRD) wheels rumble out a message of doom - the coming chaos cannot be contained with the teams of only one city. It must rip the out the hearts of the lady athletes of four cities - it is the 2012 Quad City Chaos.
The invitational weekend flat track roller derby tournament begins Saturday, March 31 and ends Sunday, April 1, 2012. Toronto's All-Star team CN Power will take on the best players from Hamilton (Hammer City Roller Girls), Kitchener (Tri-city Rollergirls) and Ottawa (Rideau Valley Roller Girls). The bouts will be at The Bunker at Downsview Park with weekend passes costing $30 at the door and $25 in advance (Visit for additional information on the tournament schedule and prices).

More information from the League follows after the jump.

"Roller derby is an exhilarating full contact sport played on roller skates. It has skyrocketed in popularity in recent years, gaining international attention with the inaugural Roller Derby World Cup hosted by Toronto Roller Derby in December 2011.

CN Power started the 2012 season strong with two big wins under their belts, and is a strong competitor for first place in this WFTDA sanctioned tournament.

Three teams taking part in Quad City Chaos boast players who made up Team Canada’s roster at the Roller Derby World Cup: Ottawa Rideau Valley Vixen’s Semi-Precious and Soul Rekker, Tri-City Thunder’s Motor Head Molly, and Toronto CN Power’s own Brim Stone.

Games will run all afternoon and evening on Saturday March 31, and Sunday afternoon followed by MVP ceremonies. Weekend passes are $25 in advance, $30 at the door." Here is the schedule for the event.
