"Roller derby is an exhilarating full contact sport played on roller skates. It has skyrocketed in popularity in recent years, gaining international attention with the inaugural Roller Derby World Cup hosted by Toronto Roller Derby in December 2011.
CN Power started the 2012 season strong with two big wins under their belts, and is a strong competitor for first place in this WFTDA sanctioned tournament.
Three teams taking part in Quad City Chaos boast players who made up Team Canada’s roster at the Roller Derby World Cup: Ottawa Rideau Valley Vixen’s Semi-Precious and Soul Rekker, Tri-City Thunder’s Motor Head Molly, and Toronto CN Power’s own Brim Stone.
Games will run all afternoon and evening on Saturday March 31, and Sunday afternoon followed by MVP ceremonies. Weekend passes are $25 in advance, $30 at the door." Here is the schedule for the event.
