#Toronto Multi-colorism

Color Me Rad hues were pink, yellow, blue, violet, green and orange and the bright powder blew on the wind, coating runners as they passed through arches along the course. Volunteers threw handfuls of colour bombs as groups ran the 5K race on Saturday, May 31, 2014 in Downsview Park.
They start off pretty clean
The majority of runners were girls, with the occasional couple or groups of guys. Most rocked some pretty funky neon or reflective sunglasses and an important fashion accessory was a tutu. As much fun as it was to photograph it looked like the participants had the best time.

Sunrise photoshoot with Theresa Longo

Fresh Joe and I met Canadian Supermodel @TheresaLongo at HTO Park as the sun rose over #Toronto for an early morning modeling session. The urban park comes complete with sand, umbrellas and Muskoka chairs and sits between the Rogers Centre and Lake Ontario on Queens Quay West. The sandy park comes without an actual beach but it is still a nice place to enjoy some rays while relaxing besides a line of condominiums.
5:30 am comes a little too early in the day for warmth so Theresa had to endure some chilly goose bumps before the sun rose higher in the sky. The beautiful Brand Ambassador and International model and actress keeps extremely busy with arts, acting, fitness and music and has won several beauty pageants and national titles. She has appeared in two movies and is also listed in the Internet Movie Database Site (IMDb).

In addition to being very attractive she is also such a friendly person and we loved working with her. See more photos from the day's shoot after the jump.

Rideau Canal's cup runneth over

Freighters go up and down in the Welland Canal

Rather than make the leap over Niagara Falls, St Lawrence steamers pass through the canal which connects upstream Lake Erie with downstream Lake Ontario. Dropping through 8 locks and 100 vertical metres in a route over 43 km long, the waterway is very popular for shipping and watching the boats go buy. The ships maximize their available space and with very little room to spare they squeeze into the concrete locks.

Doors Open #Toronto 2014

Doors Open, and boats open, is one of the best opportunities to take in attractions that are normally closed to the public or the entrance fee is waived. Get on-board and check out the locations available for viewing in May 2014.

Henry's Exposure Imaging Show 2014

It was packed at the Toronto International Centre for the latest installment of the photo and video show because Canadian astronaut Colonel Chris Hadfield was the featured speaker. The event continues til Sunday, May 25.

I wasn't too impressed with the prices but at least you can practice taking pictures of people with several models appearing throughout Exposure and they have a fantastic range of seminars.

#Toronto Woofstock 2014

The pooches moved out of claustrophobic St Lawrence Market and into the large open space of Woodbine Park in the Beach, where doggies dressed in some crazy outfits and owners showed off small and large canines.

Anime North 2014

@Anime_north #Toronto is a massive get together for a fan-run convention of costume play and japanese animated productions. The fun continues from May 23-25 at the Toronto Congress Centre, the Sheraton Airport Hotel and the International Plaza Hotel.

Attendees can take part in the Friday night skit and the costume workmanship contests and on Saturday compete in the Saturday Night Masquerade.

The Anime North Masquerade is a staged costume showcase and competition that is a great opportunity to show off that extra-special costume you've been working on. At Anime North, we have two major costume competitions: the Friday Night Skit Competition and the Saturday Night Masquerade. Both events are amateur costume competitions for Anime/Manga costumes, Media costumes (Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5, computer games etc.), Fantasy and Science Fiction costumes, Japanese Historical Costumes, and any other costumes related to one or more of these categories. The time limit for the Masquerade is one (1) minute, so it's more focused on costumes as opposed to skits. The Friday Skit Competition is for those who love to perform - lip-synching, dancing, acting, comedy, etc. and has a longer time limit per entry than the Saturday Night Masquerade."

Former #Toronto Mayor David Miller

I ran into the friendly ex-Mayor as he was on his way to a speaking engagement at the University of Guelph. He wisely chose GO Transit to make the journey between Toronto and Guelph as the rush hour traffic can be quite discouraging to prompt travel within the GTA. David is currently, among many other things, the President and CEO of World Wildlife Federation (WWF) - Canada.

He says that the drama around the current Mayor distracts everyone, especially the media, from the actual issues, good and bad that are happening right now at City Hall.
