No more Hippos in #Toronto

Hippo amphibious tours are no longer a part of Toronto's summer tourist season. The launch ramp in Ontario Place has been taken away and the City wouldn't allow another ramp so they are unable to get into the waters of the inner harbour. The colourful and curvy 40 passenger vessel that drives through downtown streets and into the water with a bus that floats will be missed.

They have now taken their fleet across Canada and operate out of Victoria, BC. Hippo tours says this "Guess Who's Coming to Town? Hippo Tours is delighted to announce they will be arriving in Vancouver in 2012! After 11 years in Toronto, "The Bus That Floats" is heading west. We can't wait to introduce you to Happy, Harry and Henrietta - and show you "The Hippest Way to See Vancouver!"
Ontario Place is now shut down as the Provincial Government decides what to do with the land on the money losing entertainment complex.
