#CNE2012 Airshow in #Toronto

UPDATE: See more photos of the 2012 Airshow on my post here.

The heavy throbbing prop planes and the fast paced jet fighters will soon be over the skies of the waterfront during the 2012 Canadian International Airshow CIAS. The holiday Labour Day weekend airshow closes the Canadian National Exhibition with a scream and sound of thunder.
The planes fly on during the 63rd annual flightstravaganza Saturday Sept 1, 2 and 3 at 1:00pm daily. Who will show up is anyone's guess as there website is shockingly lacking in details UPDATE: A forum had the information, see the end of this post. UPDATE: The Blue Angels weren't scheduled for 2012. They even say there is second show at 4:30pm daily. UPDATE: They have updated the times and added the performers on the CIAS website.

I love going to airshows so I will be there with my cameras - whoever decides to show up - and unless I miss my guess the Snowbirds will show up. I hope some American (like the US Navy Blue Angels) or a European jet team also show up. My favourite place to take pictures of the show is on Hanlan's Point Beach right beside the Island Airport. Along the beach you can get some shots of the planes passing over Ontario Place and going around the CN Tower.

Another good place to see the show for free (if you don't count parking or transportation) is along the Lake Shore Boulevard boardwalk on the west side of Exhibition Place.

Here are more 2012 Airshow photos.
