Aloha #Toronto

The surf was a little light on Woodbine Beach but that didn't stop top surfers from working the boards and helping the young experience the thrill of the ride for @AlohaToronto 2012. Long board surfer Izzy Paskowitz, big wave surfer Garrett McNamara and the surfers that began the Surfers Healing Foundation provided the experience and the know how to get the kids riding.
During the August 24-26 weekend the unbelievably wide beach along the shores of Lake Ontario and running up to the boardwalk has become a slice of Hawaii.
The stage had a band and groups of dancers including the Spirit of Aloha group while at the beach families played in the sand and surf.

The SUP Challenge races were a series of stand up paddle (SUP) boat races were scheduled for Saturday and Sunday (the celebrity SUP is at noon).
Money raised by the event goes to benefit the Sick Kids Foundation Autism Research and also the Surfer Healing Camp a Foundation for Autism.
