2025 IndyCar Series schedule released including Toronto in July

IndyCar has released their 2025 schedule and the 17-race season and Toronto is the only international race of the American based series. The Streets of Toronto is the 13th race, taking place during the July 20 weekend. Forbes reported that the IndyCar season had to end before Labour Day to avoid the start of the NFL season so the final race has moved from mid-September to the Aug 31 weekend.

Driver Alex Palou will be the defending champion (his third title win) when the series begins March 2nd in St Petersburg, Florida. Later in the season IndyCar will pull a double header in Iowa before heading into Canada for the Toronto race.

17. Aug 31: Nashville Superspeedway

The 2025 11-turn, temporary street circuit through Exhibition Place and out onto Lake Shore Boulevard will be the 37th year of the Toronto race which has already raised over $1 million dollars for charity during the Fan Friday support of Make-A-Wish Canada.
