The Grand Prix of Mosport Racefest

It was a preview of the upcoming Grand Prix of Mosport as #Toronto enjoyed the Racefest at Yonge-Dundas Square on Tuesday July 17, 2012. Pit Stop demonstrations and Team Canada Grand Prix racing team autographs were some of the attractions at the square. Champion driver Ron Fellows was also racing media on the Ultra 94 race simulator.
Several cars were displayed including the American Le Mans Series prototype car from Muscle Milk Racing and a sporty, supercharged, red Camaro. I was sad that I missed the Michelin Man (Bibendum).
Grand Prix drivers Tony Burgess (Toronto, ON, Dyson Racing, ALMS) and Kyle Marcelli (Barrie, ON, Merchant Services Racing, ALMS), above, along with drivers from other of the weekend series races met with fans.

NOS Energy Drink had their cool cube van and for a small donation you could pick up a delicious sample from the beautiful NOS ladies.
Canada's Premier Country Music Camping Festival "Boots and Hearts" was giving away blow up beach balls as they promoted the summer event to be held August 10-12, 2012 in Bowmanville, Ontrario.

Read more about the upcoming race weekend and see more Racefest photos after the jump.

The Mobil 1 Presents the Grand Prix of Mosport will be held July 19-22, 2012 at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and features the following. "Canada’s biggest sports car race of the year, featuring the American Le Mans Series for exotic prototype and GT race cars, makes its only Canadian stop. A world-class field of drivers pilot the globe’s top marques such as Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Honda, Mazda and Porsche on Canadian Tire Motorsport Park’s classic, challenging road course. Three other U.S.-based series will be on track; the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites, IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge and the SCCA Pro Racing Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup. Canada’s top racers from the Canadian Touring Car Championship and the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Michelin return for their final Canadian Tire Motorsport Park event of the season.

In addition to the great racing on-track, the Mobil 1 presents the Grand Prix of Mosport features lots of cool things away from the track for fans to see and do, such as ALMS team tech talks and an autograph session with American Le Mans Series drivers and teams, and lots of vendors selling authentic race-related merchandise. The American Le Mans Series race will also feature its famous open grid walk, which allows spectator’s unparalleled on-track access to the teams and drivers minutes before the green flag drops. This feature of ALMS racing is unique amongst top-level racing series and enables fans to enjoy a real interactive racing experience."
Hmmmm, NOS and hot NOS ladies
