Queen St West and Spadina Ave construction

The #Toronto Transit Commission continues with the work at the Queen Street West and Spadina Ave intersection. The intersection is closed to traffic as prefabricated streetcar rail sections are put into place like a big puzzle.
The work began on July 9, 2012 and is scheduled to end August 3, 2012 with a full traffic closure at the intersection until July 23, and with traffic lane reductions until August 3.

TTC Service Changes:
510 Spadina Replacement Buses and 501/301 Queen Streetcars will be diverted around the Spadina/Queen intersection during its beginning July 9 through to July 23.
510 Spadina - Spadina and Queen intersection work
501 Queen - Spadina and Queen intersection work
301 Queen - Spadina and Queen intersection work

"The work will involve the complete reconstruction of TTC streetcar tracks, reconstruction of the streetcar platforms, road resurfacing and some curb/sidewalk repairs. Rail panels (on flat-bed trucks) and other related equipment and material will be brought on-site and temporarily stored until rail installation begins."
