Beaches Jazz Festival 2012

The 24th Annual #Toronto Beaches International Jazz Festival is in full swing as the sweet music fills the air around several outdoor venues. The Festival runs from July 20 to 29, 2012. It's too bad that the Beaches Jazz Festival is located in the Beach and not the Beaches!

In Woodbine Park from July 20-22 there were three separate stages set up: the Main Stage, the Next Generation Stage and the Youth Stage. Admission is free and there is also a large beer tent area for some refreshing adult beverages.

Sunday July 22 has the following artists on the main stage: Chloe Charles 2pm, Diana Salvatore at 3pm, Suzana d'Amour 4:30pm, Tyler Yarema 6pm and David Rotundo with special guest Enrico Crivellaro at 8pm.

On July 26-28 the "original and longest" Streetfest takes place nightly on Queen Street East from Woodbine to Beech Avenue. The 2km street festival showcases the finest in swing, fusion, funk and many more sounds to enjoy. The Boardwalk Stages feature Latin Square where Jazz meets Salsa and more (Lee Ave near the Leuty Lifeguard Station) and Big Band Stages celebrating the golden era of the 30s to the 50s (West of the Woodbine Beach Bathing Staton) along with the World Beat Stage from July 27-29.

Rounding out the musical festival is the Kew Gardens party from July 28-29. Located 4 blocks east of Woodbine at Queen St E and Lee Avenue at the OLG Bandshell Main Stage. Continuous free concerts all weekend long.
