Leonard Cohen Street Tribute May 11-12

The Glenn Gould Foundation continues with its series of events (some free) in #Toronto with the Leonard Cohen Street Tribute (#leonardstreettribute) which leads up to awarding Laureate Leonard Cohen the Glenn Gould Prize on May 14, 2012 at Massey Hall.
The street tributes feature a multitude of artists performing his songs and poetry from noon until 8pm on Friday and Saturday, May 11 to 12, 2012 throughout the downtown core (locations listed below). The street performances join the exhibition of 40 pieces of his artwork at Brookfield Place May 7-19, a private event on May 11 called Make This Waltz and The Three Lennys special feature on May 12 during the Toronto Jewish Film Festival at the Bloor Cinema. The foundation honours this Hall of Fame (US and Canada) Canadian musician, singer-songwriter, author, poet and artist. My daughter sings the hauntingly beautiful "Hallelujah" so I have to say it is my favourite song from Mr Cohen. I caught up with some musicians prior to their performances at Nathan Phillips Square (Queen Street West by the chess tables, pictures above), Queen Street West at University Avenue, Queen Street West at Spadina and Yonge and King Streets .
At Queen St W and University Ave
