Tweed Ride #Toronto 2012

A dashing and debonair group ride through downtown streets took place on Saturday September 22 and it was indubitably good. Riders are encouraged to wear classic tweed or other distinguished outfit, the bikes could be anything you pedal but antique or unusual styles are well represented, all to "recreate the spirit of a bygone era."
The bikers cruise in utmost fashion, pausing at famous landmarks for photo opportunities and high tea. The day ends with a big band, swing dance party. Started in 2009 not unsurprisingly in London, England, the ride is undertaken world wide as a fund raiser for Bikes Without Borders.

The non-tweed police look on with envy as the tweed riders pass

More tweed after the jump.
