Muslim Protest at US Consulate

The worldwide Muslim anger against the film 'Innocence of Muslims' brought a very public protest to Toronto. The event was peaceful but very noisy as they grouped together in the north plaza of the University Avenue Courthouse, across from the US Consulate. The hundreds of participants came in from all areas around the GTA beginning around 2pm and included families with children.
While the speeches and flag waving took place in the plaza the Toronto Police had the lane adjacent to the protest area blocked off and across the road both mounted police and bicycle police were on hand to respond to any escalation.
