Chinatown Festival 2012

The #Toronto Chinatown Festival dragons invite you to the 12th annual street festival held Saturday to Sunday, September 8-9, 2012 on Spadina Avenue from Dundas Street West to College Street. The northbound lanes are closed to traffic as the party fills the street.
All the fun is hosted by the Chinatown Business Improvement (BIA) "Toronto’s Chinatown community commemorates the Mid-Autumn Celebration annually during the beginning of September. The Chinatown BIA, as a not-for-profit organization, looks to raise funds for underprivileged youth in the downtown Toronto area. As Chinatown bands together to establish a successful festival, the community grows strong in its culture and heritage while improving in economic success. The event will contain three stages with separate performance schedules alongside varying forms of games and shows. Alongside the various cultural vendors, a beer garden, children’s area, and cultural square can be found."
Live entertainment, food and other vendors and lion dance performances, midway rides and the first Street Food Eating Contest.

See more of the street festival after the jump.
