#Toronto Outdoor Ice Rinks

Strap on your skates because there are a lot of outdoor ice rinks in Toronto. Hidden in College Park (College and Yonge) surrounded by condos and department stores is the circular ice named Barbara Ann Scott Rink that doubles as a fountain in the summer, photo at top. With the construction at Gerrard and Yonge this location is so tucked away that few people probably know it even exists.
Skating under the Freedom Arches at Nathan Phillips Square
The most famous outdoor rink in Toronto is right smack dab in Nathan Phillips Square at City Hall, pictured above. With it's primo location and skate rentals this rink is almost always full and at nights the hockey games fill the ice surface.
Along the lakefront you can find the Natrel Rink at Harbourfront Centre in the Queens Quay area. The inner harbour remains ice free but the pond is frozen over and ready for skating.

There are a lot of rinks in City of Toronto parks including at High Park and Trinity Bellwoods Park that you can check out on the Parks, Forestry and Recreation website. The current 2011 list can be found after the jump.
