#Toronto Bedventure with Hotels.com

I don't know the technical term for a 16x20 foot bed, probably the Behemoth King, but @Hotelsdotcomca had one in Yonge-Dundas Square to promote their Welcome Rewards incentive program. Behind the bed was a green screen and you could pick a fantasy destination as a backdrop - I picked Egypt and the Pyramids of Giza, then they take a free photo of you on the bed and add the background by computer. It makes for a great 'staycation' with no jet lag. The photos of me on the bed with two lovely ladies were taken by their professional photographer.

Photos will be posted on October 9 at  http://www.BedventureToronto.com where you can share and vote for the pictures. Top three photos will win two free nights hotel stay from any of the over 85,000 Welcome Rewards hotels around the world. "Bed Hopping has never been so rewarding for everyone!"
There was a choice of five famous destination backdrops

The bed, which looks fresh from its recent appearance in New York City, will also be back on Saturday October 6, 2012 from 10am to 6pm with The Edge radio station broadcasting remotely from the square.
The reps were handing out free ear buds and after your photo session you could grab free snacks and a tote bag.

Getting the bed ready - Imagine hogging the covers in this bed? Your significant other wouldn't find you the next day.

Hotels.com Welcome Rewards gives you one free nights hotel stay for every ten stays while offering you the best deal with a price match guarantee.
I use Hotels.com myself, first because they use a claymated Ed Helms (from The Office and The Hangover) in their advertising and second because their site is excellent. I found the map system to be a great way to check out where the hotels are, which ones are available during my trip, what the rates are and what services and fees can be expected. You can also see the photos of the hotel, hotel ratings, reviews and the original and discounted prices.
