Reebok goes all CrossFit in Toronto

I expected an A-Team of Reebok CrossFit athletes to rappel down from the red container held by a crane high above Yonge-Dundas Square in #Toronto, after all the wooden boxes said “ROGUE Reebok Crossfit”. But after the smoke cleared, the helicopter noise had quieted down and the countdown had finished, out came a crowd of orange-shirted people doing CrossFit exercises – no one got their ass kicked, even the boxing people. Instead they jumped, and pumped, lifted weights, rolled big tires and generally tired out the large crowd that circled the square.

My YouTube video of the launch

The shirts said “THE SPORT OF FITNESS HAS ARRIVED”. Well, it’s about time my shirt said, I mean what have people been doing to get healthy all these years? Crossfit must be good for families because I saw a bunch of little ones with their families enjoying the excitement of the flash mob stunt in downtown Toronto. Then I think they went for a group butt and a donut, just across from the Eaton Centre.

Today was the launch, tomorrow starts the activities that people can try and fashion you can look at - no touching.
Smoke gets the party started

Update: See inside the tent-o-CrossFit after the jump.

It was a little anticlimactic within the tent.
