Sunday at the races: Honda Indy Toronto 2013

Scott Dixon takes the pole position to victory at the @HondaIndy and claims both wins at the first double header #2inTO IndyCar races in #Toronto - he has now won three races in a row. For more excitement the Sunday, July 14 race even included a standing start, the first for IndyCar. Drivers Helio Castroneves and Sebastien Bourdais finished 3rd and 2nd, respectively, in Sundays race. I was impressed by the crowds on all three days - it seemed like more families took advantage of the Free Fan Friday, while attendance looked higher on the Sunday.

"Scott Dixon of Target Chip Ganassi Racing capped off a historic weekend in Toronto today by sweeping both INDYCAR races at this year’s 2inTO Honda Indy Toronto. His winning weekend allowed him to earn the $100,000 SONAX Perfect Finish Award and round up his 32 career wins, propelling him to seventh all-time in total victories and bringing him to first in the IZOD IndyCar Series standings. Canadian favourites Alex Tagliani and James Hinchcliffe finished Sunday’s race in 10th and 21st respectively."
