Over 5,000 car enthusiasts and charity supporters are expected to attend this year's event. Last year they raised over $70,000 for the cause with raffles, 50/50 draws, parking donations. You can find not only some fantastic cars but plenty of live entertainment with Alan Frew of Glass Tiger, The Carpet Frogs, The E.Z. Street Band, a mini carnival for the children and members from the Grey Cup Championship team.
"Tim & Brenda Schmidt, Tim’s Mother Helga and the whole ABC Group family have been touched by Prostate Cancer, like so many of us. Raising money to help find a cure for this disease is a way to keep our loved one’s battle alive and raise awareness. In addition, we have chosen to support the Shriner’s Hospital for Children- Canada. As a child, Brenda Schmidt benefited from their treatment, thus holding a special place in her heart! They provide world-class care to children from across Canada and treat a host of orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal disorders in a family-focused environment that puts children at ease. Every member of their staff, from surgeons to therapists, nurses to orthotists, are committed to helping children improve their quality of life and achieve as much independence as possible."
You can also see Tim and Brenda's vast private collection of automobiles as well as entrants from people competing in the car show ($30 registration fee) which will showcase some of "Southern Ontario’s best Custom and Performance cars with awards for Grand Champion, People’s Choice and 25 runners up."
