#Toronto Santa Pur-Suit Run 2013

Santa's helpers dressed in the familiar bright, red suits and ran along the waterfront trail during the first @SantaPurSuit 5k Run in association with MLSE and the Marlies. Starting at Ontario Place the jolly runners began their long and cold trek on the multi-purpose path, westwards towards The Boulevard Club before returning back to the start/finish line for hot chocolate and entertainment.

Participants got a gorgeous Santa suit, received free tickets to the Marlies vs St John's IceCaps at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto and helped to support the YMCA. The male and female race winners also dropped the ceremonial puck at the hockey game.
The race is an initiative of Waterloo Running Series who organize several races including The Dirty Dash, In Running Colour and the Oktoberfest Run. The event I would love to see in Toronto is the In Running Colour where the 4km course features runners blitzed in colour powder during the race.

"Colour Me Rad" is the same thing as the one you described, it was here for two weekends this year already. :)
