Seagulls take flight

The squawky birds are numerous and annoying, but darn they look nice, majestic even. This one takes off from a railing at Marie Curtis Park in Toronto.
Along the beach boardwalk is a canon pointing into Lake Ontario. The birds aren't scared of the artillery piece and probably poop on it. Darn seagulls.
Etobicoke Creek comes out at the park, it splits Toronto from Mississauga.

The canon, built in Scotland, came from Quebec City.
