Indy Car points leaders coming into Toronto

While Justin Wilson has just won the last race, held at Watkins Glen, Scott Dixon is on fire with 3 wins in the last 9 races. The top ten drivers are as follows (ranked by points).

1. Scott Dixon 313 pts
2. Dario Francitti 294 pts
3. Ryan Briscoe 294 pts
4. Helio Castroneves 257 pts
5. Danica Patrick 238 pts
6. Dan Wheldon 224 pts
7. Marco Andretti 215 pts
8. Tony Kanaan 214 pts
9. Graham Rahal 197 pts
10. Justin Wilson 187 pts

For reference our very own Paul Tracy is ranked #25 with 47 points - however he has just joined Indy Car.

The points awarded per race for the top spots are 1st place 50 points, 2nd place 40 pts and 3rd is 35 points. Bonus points are awarded for most laps led (2 points) and pole position (1 point). At this point none of the drivers have a commanding lead - they must fight for every point over 85 laps, so this will make an exiting race through the streets of Toronto.
