Happy Canada Day - now blow out 142 candles

It seeems like just yesterday Canada was just a newborn, now in what seems like the blink of an eye she is ready to head off to higher education. They grow up so fast, pretty soon she will interning will some older countries and hopefully not getting into trouble and falling in with the wrong crowd. I hope she remembers to use protection.

Today it's calling for rain, rain, rain so I don't know if there will be much fireworks going off so I have posted some firework collage pictures from previous years celebrations below. Update, while it did rain I got some nice shots of fireworks in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) town of Acton (see above).

P.S. The baby was born on July 1, 1867 and the holiday, then know as Dominion Day, was started in 1879. In 1982 Canada's birthday became known as Canada Day.
