Pride Month Toronto 2018

Mayor John Tory and Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam will join Pride Toronto to raise the Rainbow and Transgender flags Friday, June 1 at Toronto City Hall. The flag raising will begin the start of Pride Month in the big smoke.

The ceremony will happen at 12:30pm on the podium roof at Toronto City Hall and will include an acknowledgment of recent victims of heinous crimes and violence against the LGBTQ2S community.

"This year's Pride Festival will span 24 days beginning June 1, and will culminate on Festival Weekend from June 22 to 24. Pride Month, recognized locally and internationally as a premier arts and cultural event for Toronto, will showcase the activism, diversity, history, courage and culture of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, intersex, queer, questioning, two spirited communities and allies (LGBTQ2S) and will again feature one of North America's largest annual Pride parades."
