The last of Captain John's

Once it floated at the foot of Yonge Street, you won't believe what it looks like now! The floating restaurant fell on hard times and was eventually towed from its location along the harbourfront in May of 2015 to the southern terminus of the Welland Canal.

The Marine Recycling Corporation located in Port Colborne scrapped Captain John's for the metal and the ship was cut into pieces. Now all that remains that is recognizable is part of the superstructure with the bridge sitting at top. The hull is long gone and the empty structure sits on land near the other ships tied up, waiting to be scrapped.
The ferry Princess of Acadia was taken out of service and moved to the Marine Recycling Corporation for dismantling in November of 2017
