Toronto Caribbean Carnival 2016

Beautiful Mas costumes and their lovely dancers are at Nathan Phillips Square for the official launch of the three week long cultural festival. The launch starts at noon and continues until 2pm. See more of my photos of the MAS costumes on my post here.
Toronto celebrates along with the Caribbean during the exciting revelry, music and cuisine of the 49th annual event.
The Grand Parade and main attraction is Saturday, July 30 at Exhibition Place and Lakeshore Boulevard. It is North America's largest Caribbean Parade and includes Masquerade Bands, floats, elaborate costumes and dancers.  The parade starts at 9:30am and the excitement lasts until 8pm with the 4.5 km route leaving Exhibition Place and travelling along Lakeshore Blvd West to Parkside Drive where it ends.
