The Wheel: A Samhain Masquerade

Halloween for witches and pagans was observed with a dance around a magic circle in Yonge-Dundas Square on Saturday November 3, 2012. Dragon Ritual Drummers, Pagans' Folly and Amanda Rose Moscar were some of the performances of the night which also saw a human tree sprout and grow in the heart of the square - courtesy of Isoprox which is a dance-collective.

"On the night when the veil between the worlds is thinnest,
come and dance the magic circle 'round
in the heart of the city
in Toronto's biggest square
we will invite the dead and dearly departed to come and dance with us for one night of the year - THIS is the REAL Hallowe'en"

Billed as the first pagan themed public event in the heart of downtown Toronto, many of the participants were in a variety of costumes. See more after the jump.
