PawsWay in November and December 2012

Rover, Rover I call you over to @PawsWay Pet Park in #Toronto! If your dog has been good they can look forward to pictures with Santa on weekends with December. No I didn't make a mistake - with Santa himself I said!

Pet Memorial Vigil
Thursday, November 1st (6:30pm - 8pm) Join us for this special evening when people will gather to remember, celebrate and honour cherished pets that we have lost. Join the Remembrance Vigil and Moment of Silence to pay tribute to the animal companions who have touched your lives. This event is for people, whose grief is often silenced, to come together and cherish the bonds shared with their animals in a public form. If you have a picture, poem or other keepsake you would like to share of your beloved companion, please bring this with you to post on the ‘Forever In Our Hearts’ exhibit. FREE.

Agility Skills
Thursday, November 8th (6:30pm - 7:30pm)
Learn the fundamentals of Agility! Each week will focus on fun new skills and techniques. Topics include new verbal cues such as 'go' or 'turn', plus new obstacle skills such as independent weave poles. Cost: $80 plus HST for four weeks.

Walk Your Dog: A Miracle With Paws
Saturday, November 10th (2pm - 5pm)
George Brown College is hosting this event in support of Toronto Humane Society. Activities include dog’s parade, dog agility contest, photo booth, prizes and much more! Tickets: $10 (with dog) / $5. Legoland Discovery Day
Saturday, November 24th (10am – 6pm) Sunday, November 25th (10am – 4pm)

Come and watch the LEGO masters compete for the grand title of Master Model Builder for the new LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Toronto. The most creative candidate will be chosen as the Master Model builder to curate special exhibitions, build new LEGO models for the attraction and interact with thousands of children and families. PawsWay will also be holding a Pet themed ‘Junior’ Lego Masters contest for children under 15 years of age. Come to PawsWay and take home the ‘JR Lego PawsWay Champion’ title by building a Lego cat or dog. FREE!

Ask the Vet
Thursday, November 21st (5:30pm - 7:30pm)
Everyone has questions when it comes to the well being of our pets so why not ask those questions for free? Back by popular demand, Dr. Krista Nelson from Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital will be on site to offer professional advice and guidance. FREE!

Off Leash Safety Course
Thursday, November 29th (6pm - 7pm)
STAY SAFE! PLAY SAFE! Learn everything you need to know to keep your dog safe in an Off Leash environment – whether at PawsWay or outside. Discover invaluable tips on canine body language and how to ensure a safe, responsible and fun environment for you and your dog. This course is mandatory for visitors attending the PawsWay Off Leash and costs only $10 per family.

Canine Good Neighbour
Saturday, December 1st (1pm - 4pm)
Canine Good Neighbour program identifies and rewards responsible and caring owners and their canine partners. This twelve step evaluation is fun, rewarding and useful. Successful participants receive a certificate from the Canadian Kennel Club. $25 fee applies.
Pet Photos With Santa
Every Saturday & Sunday, December 1st –December 23rd (12pm - 4pm)
Has your dog or cat been naughty or nice? Find out from the jolly old man himself – when Santa Claus – visits PawsWay every weekend before Christmas for the annual ‘Pet Photos With Santa’. Let your pet whisper in Santa’s ear what they really want for Christmas! Capture that special moment with pets, children and the entire family. $10 fee applies which includes a $2 donation to Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides.
