enRoute Film Festival 2013 submissions open

The @AirCanada @enRoutemag short Film Festival is calling for entries into the seventh annual competition with a $5,000 top prize and where the winners will also attend a major international film festival and have their films shown on the airline's in-flight seatback entertainment systems. The festival is open to students and emerging filmakers and a celebrity jury will review and select the winners.
The 2012 Best Short Film winner was Noeud papillon by Fernand-Phillippe Morin-Vargas.
Cineplex Entertainment is a presenting sponsor and they will provide the Best Short Film $5,000 cash prize. Also up for grabs will be Achievements in Direction, Cinematography and Animation as well as the People's Choice Award. Film screenings will be held in Vancouver and Montreal with a free public awards celebration and film screening in Toronto later in the year.

"Winning films are selected by an esteemed jury, which will be announced this summer. Past jury members have included Jean-Marc Vallée, Jay Baruchel, Alison Pill, Atom Egoyan, Denis Villeneuve, Donald Sutherland, Molly Parker, Rémy Girard, Alan Cumming and Don Carmody, among many others. To download an entry form and view full contest rules and regulations, please visit www.enroutefilm.com. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, May 31."

Air Canada is Canada's largest airline and the world's 15th largest commercial airline - flying to five continents and a founding member of the Star Alliance air transportation network. I was just on a couple of domestic Air Canada flights - both Jazz and Express in a short run up north to Timmins in Dash 8 planes (100 and 400 models).
