City of Toronto outdoor ice rinks mostly still in service

In late November the City started opening 40 outdoor rinks and by early December there were more than 50 outdoor rinks and trails. Artificial rinks are expected to last until March 17, 2024 and natural pads hope to operate until February 25, 2024. The recent high winter temperatures have impacted some of the ice surfaces and the City notes that you should check their website for ice condition alerts - at this time there are a number of service alerts and two rinks closed due to ice conditions. Toronto is "offering family favourite activities including free public leisure and figure skating, shinny, ringette, instructional programs and permits for a fee." The rinks are open from 10am to 10pm, all week long. Enjoy them before they are gone.
