Freedom Day 2013

Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield helped to celebrate the Simon Wiesenthal Center Freedom Day event in #Toronto and several thousand students sat down in Yonge-Dundas Square to enjoy the entertainment. Starting at noon on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 the annual Freedom Day encourages youth to embrace Canadian rights and freedoms, raise awareness about human rights and empower the young to take action to improve the world.

Started by the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) the day also included the launch of the Tour for Humanity project. The tour is an accessible Mobile Tolerance Education Center which will tour Ontario.
