Children hopped with excitement at the entrance to the Prospect Park Fairgrounds in Halton Hills, Ontario. The small town agricultural fairs bring together urban and rural residents along with farm animals and amusement rides, oh, and those deep fried foods like mars bars. The 100th Acton Fall Fair took place on the September 13-15, 2013 weekend and Friday featured Education Day and the 50th Anniversary of the Miss Acton Fall Fair Pageant.
Midway rides
Fair goers loved the lawn, tractor, highway truck and pickup truck pulls. The big diesel trucks belched thick, black smoke high into the air as they moved the pulling rig slowly up the track.
4H and beef and cattle shows and competitions
Some games of chance had a winner every-time
Antique and new tractors competed in the pulls
The steam engine joined the pullers
