Canada's largest outdoor art exhibition is in Nathan Phillips Square from Friday, July 6 to Sunday, July 8. The Toronto Outdoor Art Fair event is juried and has a wide range of visual artists displaying their works beside City Hall. They say that 100,000 art lovers come to the square for the contemporary art displayed in row upon row of white tents.
Henderson Brewing Co. has a Beer Garden under the covered stage and the fair hours are Friday (10am-7pm), Saturday (10am-7pm) and Sunday (10am-5pm). Rain or shine the free weekend event welcomes vistors for art and special programs put on throughout the fair including Calibrate dance choreographed by Karen Kaeja at the Beer Garden.
Slow Foto Box lets you develop your photos taken at their photo booth and on Sunday, July 8 at noon you can take a tour of the emerging artists to watch. Donors have provided $40,000 in awards for best artists in their practice for such categories like Best of Art Fair, Best of Ceramics, Best of 3D, Social Commentary Award and many others.
