Immigrant Family - sculpture

The new condominium at Yonge and Lakeshore (18 Yonge Street) has a bronze statue by Tom Otterness. It features an immigrant family in Toronto ready to start a new life in Canada. The immigrants are a little round and were actually designed as turtles.
This piece joins many items of art sprinkled throughout Toronto

This is the dumbest sculpture in Toronto, a place full of lousy street art blocking otherwise perfect sidewalks. Perhaps when the city realizes that it is not a museum it can avoid becoming one.

Sorry. I disagree with you. This is the perfect place for this sculpture. Art pieces should be everywhere if there are people who can enjoy them daily just like me. This is the path I jog and lots of people sit down there and rest. They also appeciate the sculpture more than you think. Cheers and peace! :)
