The flag is flying at Toronto City Hall for the month long celebration of Pride, raised by Mayor Olivia Chow on May 31, followed by the City Pride Month Proclamation. The Toronto Sign will also be lit in the colours of the rainbow for the month as well. The sculpture pictured at top is at Commerce Court.

The flag and Proclamation are in "celebration of the history, courage and diversity of Toronto’s Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer (2SLGBTQ+) communities.
The Pride Festival runs from June 1 to 30 and the parades will complete the month from June 28 to 30.
