It's a mini vacation in the Dorset area during the August long weekend. Enjoying the Haliburton and Muskoka scenery and lakes that bring cottagers up to paradise despite the sometimes brutal traffic.
My feet are soaking in Kawagama Lake as the early morning sun brings life back to the cottagers, many who partied hard the night before.
A river that leads eventually into the Lake of Bays cuts through bedrock and splashes down a series of small waterfalls is one of my favorite scenic stops. See other cottage country scenes after the jump.
