Rock Climbing at Rattlesnake Point

The Niagara Escarpment comes to a crashing halt along a limestone precipice which drops down the steep cliff to the valley below. Visitors spill into the park on the lookout for fall foliage and the natural beauty of Ontario parks and conservation areas while small groups of brave rock climbers scale the sheer walls.

The climbers are harnessed and tied to ropes which rise to the top of the cliff and return to the valley floor where other members of the climbing party hold tight to prevent them from falling. The hard part is the climbing up, it is more fun to rappel down the face of the escarpment.
