Toronto Rally for Free Tibet

Protesters walked into Yonge-Dundas Square on March 10 to mark the 58th anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising and to ask for freedom for Tibet. In 1950 the People's Republic of China occupied Tibet and the country's spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, later fled to India in 1959 after the national uprising.
