Are the Toronto Islands even open in the winter?

Like the Rogers Centre, the islands should come with a sliding dome; keep it nice and toasty in the winter. However, that is not the case and the tourism hot spot quietly slumbers in the cold winter months. You can still catch a ferry, but sometimes you have to wait for them to clear a path in the ice with the fireboat.



Off season is a lot quieter than summer time weekends


They don't always nail the rope toss, but they are pretty good at docking
