Motorcycle Supershow 2015 in #Toronto this weekend

The holidays are over, time to rev up the excitement level with a visit to the North American International Motorcycle Supershow in seven giant halls at the Toronto International Centre from Jan 2-4, 2015. Come see live bands and special guests like Angelina Polska and Mandy Monroe at this year's show.

Highlights of the show will include the unvieling of the custom "Vincent Black Chopper" in the century of motorcycles display in Hall 4 along with meeting Nicole Winters, author of TT Full Throttle in Hall 3.

"Growing up with a learning disability, author Nicole Winters was neither a good student nor an avid reader. It wasn’t until she was assigned to read S.E. Hinton’s The Outsiders did all that change. Devouring the novel in one day, she realized that the right story could engage even the most reluctant of readers. She went on to read a variety of subjects including hobbies, nonfiction and more. She realized her school marks were not an accurate reflection of her intelligence. This is a message she’d like all students who struggle in school to understand."

The Vincent Chopper is built in the “digger” style, the rake is 50 degrees with a tubular springer front end and 18” Weld Forge Wire wheels. The ‘Pickers’ engine is a 1948 Vincent HRD 1000cc Rapide with dual carbs and pipes. It will be seen for the first time at SUPERSHOW 2015.

Happy New Years Eve and hello to 2015

Enjoy the night with champagne and fireworks because at midnight we welcome in the new year! You can check out the festivities with new Mayor John Tory at Toronto City Hall with food trucks, a local DJ Mel Boogie, skating and spectacular fireworks from Circus Orange at the stroke of 12.
Nathan Phillips Square located at 100 Queen Street West will be rocking starting at 8 pm on Wednesday, December 31. "I am excited to join Torontonians of all ages as we usher in the new year in Nathan Phillips Square," said Mayor John Tory. "This long-standing tradition has become customary, and the City of Toronto is thrilled to provide a memorable experience for citizens and visitors. I look forward to counting down the seconds with you as we welcome in 2015!"
In the Greater Toronto Area many municipalities will host New Years Eve events, including the City of Brampton, and next day meetings with the Mayors during annual Mayor Levees.

Looking for dinosaurs in the Badlands

Warm winter weather has melted away the cloaking layer of snow at the impressive Cheltenham Badlands so it remains a primo destination within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Saturday was windy and raining so Joe's drone was grounded, but on Sunday the rain was done and the unmanned aerial vehicle lifted high into air. We couldn't get shots though, that will have to wait for next time.

Christmas Eve 2014

Santa's sleigh ride takes to the air tonight so be good to one another and the big guy should be on the way with something nice for you, especially if you are rich. The lights and decorations are still beautiful to see and the Christmas scenes in the downtown Hudson Bay store on Queen Street still draws in the crowds.
Families gather in front of the windows
