Colon Cancer Awareness Month

This story starts with the end. Colon Cancer Canada, the people behind your behind, officially launch the awareness month in #Toronto with spokesperson Darryl Sittler, former Maple Leaf hockey legend, and the Ontario Professional Firefighters Association. The firefighters even drove up in some fire trucks, although one was officially retired from active service many decades ago. The launch took place in Yonge-Dundas Square on Friday, March 1, 2013 and the campaign had Darryl’s awareness poster with “Fear colon cancer, not the test.” Darryl lost his wife to colon cancer.
On a related note a 10k Colon Cancer Canada’s push for you tush run will be held Sunday, June 2, 2013 inToronto. You can do the full 10 kilometre run or take part in the 5k walk or the 1k toddler walk and family fun.
Colon Cancer Cancer say the cancer doesn't discriminate and is the second leading cause of cancer death in our country and is 90% treatable when detected early. Think about your butt and Stop Cancer.
