Over the Rainbow rises in #Toronto

Crews begin to hoist the sparkly rainbow that will advertise the new Andrew Lloyd Webber's production of the Wizard of Oz. The play will be held at the Ed Mirvish Theatre (formerly the Canon Theatre) on Yonge Street, will open in December and features an all-Canadian cast.
"Developed from the ever popular MGM screenplay, this new production contains all the beloved songs from the Oscar®-winning movie score, all the favourite characters and iconic moments, plus a few surprises along the way, including new songs by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber."
The star of the show playing Dorothy was chosen during the 16 episodes of the CBC series "Over the Rainbow". Auditions started in Vancouver on June 1 and ended in Toronto on June 18 at the Glenn Gould CBC Studios. "CANADA HAS VOTED! DANIELLE IS YOUR DOROTHY!", Danielle Wade won the role and is from La Salle, Ontario and has experience in musical theatre.
