Bloor-Yorkville Holiday Magic 2012

Crooner Matt Dusk will headline the free Bloor-Yorkville BIA Holiday Magic official lighting ceremony. The fun happens from 5:00 to 6:30 pm on November 17, 2012 in the Village of Yorkville Park at Cumberland and Bellair Streets. Matt, pictured above, takes time from stage prep to pose with a newlywed couple; they even came up on stage and it was incredibly fun.

From the BIA website, Matt Dusk "has forged a career in music that has resulted in 3 critically-acclaimed studio albums including a Gold record for the debut album ‘Two Shots’ and a Gold record for his third album ‘Good News’. Dusk has had three number one radio hits: “All About Me” (Canada), “Back in Town” (Japan) and “Good News” (France). He is an alumnus of the St. Michael’s Choir School and studied under jazz piano legend Oscar Peterson at York University."
Sadly the annual Toronto Santa Speedo Run that usually takes place in Bloor-Yorkville has been deferred for 2012 and they hope to be re-energized and back in the game for 2013.

Global Toronto’s Liza Fromer, above, and Antony Robart hosted the event
