Schmoozed by Dribble's Serge

UPDATE: My brother Joe Fresh investigated Sergey and discovered his form email has been sent to all sorts of blogs - like Bits 'N Bob's! And I thought I was special, so I have changed his name and his company's name a few times for fun and I leave this post for fun.

"Hello! I just want to thank you for your wonderful blog torontogp.blogspot.com." This greeting and the rest of the email that follows came from Serpico and I couldn't resist his funny request. So here is my link to you.

"I read the post "The Feared Horned Viking James" and then I spent another hour on your blog by reading your posts with pleasure :) Every article is interesting and easy to read. I really like the "Ann's first camera, the Nikon FG".

I work for dribble company, we aggregate job adverts around the world.

My job is to persuade bloggers to link to our site.

I really love my job! We have a friendly team and good management, but unfortunately I have no idea how to convince a blogger to link to us, I'm afraid I might lose my job because of it :(

And that is why, instead of sending letters to thousands of different blogs, I am reading yours.

Honestly, I am not really sure if the link to our website in Canada - scrooble, will be appropriate for your blog, but if you believe it will and it is possible to add it, I would be really grateful to you! Our site is really cool, it can greatly help hundreds of people to find a job.

I wish you to have a good day and excellent mood! Thanks again for your nice blog. Write more! Thanks!

P.S. I am a Leo by zodiac sign too :) Best regards, Surg Savage Account Manager "

Yeah, I got his lovely, overly basic email today and knew it sounded far too simple and like he was seriously trying to kiss up. (Especially since he claimed he also loved my favorite book, then suggested I also read another book from my list of favorites that isn't remotely in the same genre.)
Good to know I can spot 'em! Thanks! :)
