IndyCar pace car rides with Dr Pepper

Dr Pepper gave me the chance to take a wild ride in a pace car around the Honda Indy Toronto 2011 street race course. These cars can really move around the course and the drivers do a great job showing a little of what it must be like to join the IndyCar drivers in an actual race. I loved how as these guys are screaming around the track, we move sideways as the car maneuvers around the corners, hugging the concrete barriers and the guy is carrying on a normal conversation with us, telling us about the course and it's traits. It was really fun.

Dr Pepper Reps, two BlogTO reporters and Dr Pepper's promotion expert Erin.

We joined with a few reporters from BlogTO for the exciting afternoon run around the track. This is what rush hour traffic should really be like! I think our driver was IndyCar Lights' Josef Newgarden.
