Photo Vault - Toronto Mounted Police

Dressed in riot gear the Toronto Police horses sit peacefully in the shade at Queens Park, ready for action or oats, whichever is tastier. The event was the 2010 Toronto Freedom Festival. I always liked the gear the horses wear - face shields and knee pads. I think that they should get the horses some sunglass face shields and then they would be the ultimate in cool.
In 1968 the mounted unit moved into the Horse Palace stables at the CNE.
