IZOD Race to the Party - IndyCar driver autographs

John Street just south of Queen Street was shut down for an IZOD Honda Indy Toronto street party. The band Rival Sons played for the crowd and then the entire lineup of IndyCar drivers, from Danica Patrick (above with Ryan Hunter-Reay) to last years' champion Dario Franchitti (below), were introduced and they met the fans and signed autographs and posed for pictures. This was probably the best chance to see all the drivers up close without waiting in huge lineups. The hosts for the event were Matte Babel and Jamie Little.

Special introductions were made for Canadian drivers Paul Tracy (below) and Alex Tagliani as they competed in a Toronto vs Montreal Pit Stop Challenge. The losing team had to wear the others' jersey but because of technical problems they both agreed to wear each other's jersey.

After the street party they headed to Dolce Social Ballroom for a VIP party. Some of the drivers looked a little tired especially since the hard work begins tomorrow.

Were the "technical problems" that the other team had nothing else to wear?
