The drab, dull grey street scape is often broken by the pile of newspaper boxes that sprout up at intersections, pictured here at University and Queen Streets. Skaters in the following photo have to clear the ice as the City's Zamboni gets ready to smooth the surface at Nathan Phillips Square.
